The card is viewed from above: a single spiral coils inward toward an orange evil eye at its center. There is movement, there appears to be choice, but the structure keeps folding the traveler back into the same logic. The eye is not waiting outside the labyrinth. It is at the center of it. The curse has entered perception itself.

The curse survives by making every escape route lead back to itself.

THE TALE

THE SPIRAL PRISON

A wall tells you: you cannot pass. A spiral tells you: keep going. He is not immobilized. He is circulating.

THE LOSS OF DRIVE

The curse does not always stop you by force. Sometimes it simply makes movement feel pointless.

The eye is not watching the prison from outside. It is the prison’s point of view.

THE EVIL EYE

The narrator no longer needs an external enemy to remain trapped. Suspicion, obsession and self-surveillance can continue operating after the original cause is gone.

ADDICTION TO THE LOOP

Recognition and release are not the same thing. A prison can become unbearable without becoming unfamiliar.

HELL AS REPETITION

Hell becomes less a place than a structure of recurrence.

THE JOURNEY

CURSE is where THE UNDERWORLD becomes structural. The narrator stops asking only what hurts and begins asking why the same forms of hurt keep returning.

What begins as an attack can survive as a habit of perception.
